EAMSA has a long track record of international research collaboration, publication and mutual support. The association has been established for a quarter of century and has been sustained through our conferences; joint activities; and website and electronic communication/exchange of ideas. Members are able to search our database of members’ research interests and other activities, in order to seek out prospective research partners, and contact them.
We are not a mass organization and we seek to create an environment for researchers, business executives and others to network, exchange ideas and collaborate. Existing and new members are able to maintain contact easily without being lost in anonymity as can be the case in larger organisations. Our conferences have an informal atmosphere and include field trips and social events. Therefore, you have plenty of time to network at EAMSA, without being in a rush.
The annual conference offers an ideal opportunity to test your ideas and research findings with peers and experts. Papers submitted to EAMSA conferences are thoroughly blind-reviewed, and authors are offered the opportunity to revise their papers based on reviewers’ feedback (this is a requirement for inclusion in the conference proceedings). Conference sessions comprise competitive, workshop and PhD tracks, so members can present their research at an appropriate level.
In contrast to many other academic associations, we do not squeeze a lot of presentations into short conference sessions. Instead, we provide sufficient time for presentation and discussion of each paper. In other words: we offer an opportunity for real intellectual stimulus and exchange at our conferences. This intellectual stimulation is reinforced by members’ range of backgrounds. Colleagues come from all over the world, including many leading Business Schools and Centres of Asian and European studies; and many work at an interdisciplinary level, on a wide range of topics.
EAMSA offers excellent dissemination and publication
opportunities. All accepted papers are printed in full length in the conference proceedings. In addition, selected papers from every year’s conference are published either in a book with a leading international publisher or as a special issue of a refereed journal.
